PASCAGOULA, Mississippi -- Beverly Lee parlayed a lifelong love of sewing into a successful small business, one that draws its lifeblood from the city's industrial base and, ironically, grew by leaps and bounds after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
"We've really been blessed," said Lee, who runs Stitches by Lee out of an unassuming wooden workshop near downtown with her daughter, Meghan Becker, and Jessica May.
