As I sit here on the couch watching college football, digesting turkey and talking to y'all.......I reflect!
I hit the floor running at 6:30 am. I could have slept in today because of the holiday, but no.........I got my usual wake up call from the kitchen with my 14 year old rummaging around the pantry looking for breakfast. Suprising, I wasn't even upset about this unstoppable hunt for food. I was excited about what was on my own 'plate' for the day.
After breakfast and before basketball practice, the boys talked me into playing Monopoly. Yeah, Monopoly at 7:00 in the morning........I was buying Park Park place on purpose just to run out of money (don't tell my 8 year old). Luckily, basketball practice released me from the Monopoly mission. On to my next under-taking.
I got the boys off to practice and the sewing began!!! Yeah, it's about time. I missed my rotary cutter so much. I had been dreaming about my Gingher scissors. I couldn't wait to cut that beautiful new fabric.
I measured, I cut, I ironed, I pinned, I sewed! It was glorious! The best time I've had in weeks! I began AND completed a super cute Sewing Caddy. It was relatively easy to do. I didn't have fusable Peltex, so I had to quilt what I had into the project, which turned out really cute. Other than that, it was a great tutorial. You need to check it out!
It was a full day of family, fun, food and SEWING!!!! I am in a happy place!
Tell us what you think!
