Review of Butterick B5559 - Plum Aztec Dress - Pintucks Rock

Hey Fashionistas,

Below is my review of Butterick B5559

Pattern Description: Butterick B5559 Misses Dress

Fabric Used:
Fashion Knit Aztec Plum Polyester Fabric

Pattern Sizing: Size 12

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope ? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes the instructions were very easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the details of this pattern, pin tucks rock. They give such nice dimension and depth to the structure and overall look of a garment.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did take about 1.5 inches of the sides to get my desired fit

Would you sew it again? Yes, I would like to try on a solid color fabric.

Would you recommend it to others? YES.

The fabric is a sort of strecth polyester from hancock. Please click here for the fabric. I really wasn't sure how the tucks would look on this fabric. Once I started to lay the pattern pieces down it started to come together, and love the end results.
