Well, I've calmed down a little now...hoped the dress would be finished for my event on June 4. It wasn't. I want to thank whoever added the photo of the pattern, that was great. And I hope to add a photo of my dress soon. I'm 99% sure I cut the pieces on the bias as the grain lines were marked. The front of my dress looks pretty much like the pattern. The front flap doesn't attach under the 'flounce', so that makes a really long slit...It's the back that doesn't quite look the same. The side-back seam isn't as straight as shown on the pattern. That is where I thought it should drape better. The neck is too large (I never saw it actually closed on me to see that an adjustment should be made) so I think that can be done in the zipper seam, which by the way, curves to the right side...and the sleeves pucker too much. (Arm h*** too small?) I had to make my own adjustment to bring the darts to the proper (or close to) position. Granted, some of these problems could have been eliminated prior to cutting.
