Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I made these very simple coffee table covers, after realizing my little tables that are about 15 years old look horrid, too horrid to be naked for my jewelry party!  I had ordered some really cool quilt 1/2 yard panels from Fabric.com after Christmas last year (super cheap), and had picked up some beaded fringe from the Dollar Store (YES, the Dollar Store!) as well...just sewed 1/2 hems all around and sewed the fringe to the ends, and voila, spiffy Coffee Table Covers!  Not fancy "runners" but they looked pretty great, I thought!  My guests did too.  Total cost for each runner: $4.  Time: about 1/2 hour per runner.
