"Wounded warriors around the country are being wrapped in love and prayers, thanks to a ministry stitched together by Circle Sewing Studios in Woodbridge and the Protestant Parish of the Quantico Chapel.

The Wounded Warrior Quilt Ministry has donated and distributed nearly 50 quilts to injured service members since it began its work last year. Retired Air Force Reserve Major Carol Westin and her husband, retired Air Force Master Sergeant Alan Westin of Dumfries, and other members of the Circle Sewing Studios Quilt Club spearhead the effort to provide the comforting quilts to the wounded warriors.

“I had made a quilt with the children from the Vacation Bible School and we sent it out,” explained Carol Westin of the efforts beginnings."
