Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I believe God slowed me down on my new pattern development by sending the flu. Or - really, that I got the flu and that's what I'm interpreting it to mean. Alsoi n the middle of moving my elderly mother from the nursing home where she landed a week ago to a really nice assisted living situation. Anyway - below if my last jacket design for the current pattern. Left to do: test my directions for this one by making another jacket. Then - write the directions for real, and do the taping....sure wish I felt up to it!!!

Sorry picture so big. Guess I'm realizing I need to size it down before posting?

Yes, the Picture is Big! But Sew What? The Jacket looks Absolutely Beautiful and "One of a Kind".
I hope that you have overcome whatever flu has struck you. They can certainly slow you down....

Thanks. Flu was definitely jus tthe 48 hour one. Course - I went to the Dr. - with this Swine flu scare....
On the jacket photo'd, I used Texture Magic on the fabric in the collar. This is a great new product that is a fabric that you stitch onto the wrong side of fabric, then hold an iron over it and steam - and it shrinks 305 - truly cool way to get instant texture.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, hope you are feeling better soon. Get as much rest as you can, it will give your body a chance to heal.
BTW the jacket is gorgeous!
