Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

This is a Belle Layered skirt based on the tutorial here:

The customer wanted something that would suit her spunky, energetic 4 year old niece. She loved the skirt.

This jumper was requested by a client for her granddaughter. They live in a hot area so they mostly buy summer clothing. She wanted something in light yellow and I chose the gray print to go with it. She loves the dress and the bloomers I made to go with it.

I'm new to custom sewing but I find the whole design, construction process very challenging and gratifying. There's something very special about coming up with a design that would suit the client's requirements and actually making it. The goal is to make something that makes them go "Gorgeous!!!". Its a magic when it happens.
