Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I just love the simplicity of this little dress.

I used McCalls pattern #4450. The fabric is 100% black and white polka dot print cotton.

I cut the pattern out to be a shorter version of this long dress. I love the top part of the pattern and how well it fits at the top and flows out at the waist.

I have several half cardigans that works just perfect together with the dress and matching shoes.

Red makes a statement

The grey lends a soft look

The orange is vibrant

Add any color combination of shoes and jewelry. This little black dress is a must have in any closet as the styles will be endless when matching it with other articles of clothing and jewelry combinations.

Really cute! I love the polka dot fabric!  It makes me think of my daughter, she's a dot fan.  And you've got some great combos going on with it.  I especially like the red, since red is my favorite color.  Very nice job!  Thank you for sharing.

I especially like this dress with the red shoes & red jacket. Wow that would look stunning with pearls!

Great dress Shannon  Very nice job both in the construction and seeing the potential in  that pattern.

Oh my that is a cute dress but being a woman in the plus range I'm not so sure this dress is for me.

sorry about that it is 100% cotton.

100% what?  Cotton, silk, linen rayon, wool?
