Thanks Judith. I will keep this in mind and give it a try sometime. The place I am in right now probably won't work for it...I have hugh windows and they are covered with plants during the winter time. I am going to try for outside shots when it is nice out.
Hello Marsha, just popping by, I trawl the internet when I am bored, and found a really useful tutorial on taking photos of items that I thought I would pass on to you. They recommend you place your item on a table in front of a window. Cover the table with the matte side of tin foil upwards. Cover the window with a piece of tracing paper so it evens out the sunlight. Cover a piece of card with tin foil to reflect any light and position it on the left and one on the right of the object you are photographing. If you position your camera so the photo doesn't show any of the relectors, it should be very well lit and appear quite professional. He advised that you take several photos to ensure you have the best one. Hope this helps.
Just checked out your blog! Fantastic! Wonderful fabrics that you have on there. I tried a blog a few years back and for awhile I did pretty well at keeping up with it, then I let it go. I have thought of gettting back into it again, but haven't yet.
My small art quilts are all for business unless making for a gift.
I know how much work moving your sewing room is, I just finished moving mine and reorganizing. You will be happy with a bigger space!
Hi Marsha....I haven't been on this site a lot so I was glad to get your message to cause me to revisit. I pretty much stick with home dec sewing and am smack dab in the middle of moving my sewing room into a much larger space. What a project! I blog too...Nouveau Stitch. I hope you'll stop by.
Your uilting looks fantastic! Do you make them for business or pleasure?
Hi Marsha. Thank you for looking at my quilt "Marianne's Quilt", this one really was a challenge but I loved the process and how it turned out. Your post cards are wonderful, I have a tendency to work BIG, so it is always fun to see works on the smaller scale.
Just redid our guest bedroom so that I can FINALLY have a place to sew, etc. Only problem is that now it is full of Christmas stuff to be hauled to the basement. Love the sight if I can find time to explore it...Keep in touch, Cindy
I never realized you can't see photos on the profile pages until now....sorry. this is the link: http://sew-whats-new.com/photo/sweatshirt-bookbag?context=latest
if that doesn't work, then you can go under the community page and look at project photos. I'm on page 6, I think.
