I just saw the pin cushion tutorial. Thank you! I am going to try and follow the instructions without using a pattern -- I'm not much for patterns, but I do like to freestyle stuff (which probably explains why my projects turn out as they do!)
Thank you for the tip on posting the link to my blog.I love the bags shown in your photo section!!! Learning how to make bags is on my "things to learn" list. Right now, I'm still leaning how to cut straight lines for quilts (I'm not joking about this). I hope to sew well enough to be able to create fabric coasters for tea sets for gifts and swaps.
Hi Karen, Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm sure I will enjoy this site and hopefully learn lots of new skills!! There is some gorgeous projects on here what people have made.

Thanks for the welcome, Karen, looks like I need to log in and check a little more often!! I don't get on much (I work soooo much online, that when I leave work I don't do a lot of computer work if I can keep myself from it). Looking forward to sharing friendships with you all!
Karen, I don't know if others have received this, but I received a response to my post on this forum from a Frank Kwabena in Ghana. We searched the web and found it's a scam...for money.
Thanks for the suggestions Karen. They are great and I'll feed them onto the site a couple at a time. You've been very kind. I'll let you know what the response is like.

I did use the link, that is where I got my pattern from, but I did not see on there anywhere about how much material to use. Thank you so much!
