Hey Larisa! Thanks for the pointers on the tile steps for my page.I tried choice after choice until I threw my hands up and settled for something quite simple. Glad you are enjoying the button pics, always more :-) I forgot to mention before I just love the lil emoticon of smiley sewing!!! Where did you get those(if you don't mind sharing) ? TOO CUTE! Hugs, Jeri
Hey Girl! How do you like this pic?! Lovely! I left you return replies in Buttons... I'm a bit bummed the waistcoat button that I wanted so bid out of my budget :-( Well the pic can pacify I guess. I am curious how did you tile the edges of your page with the roses, would love a little help with that. I became pretty tired and lil confused after spending so much time setting up my page. Thanks for posts in Buttons, hope you are having a good time in the castle today!! Jeri
Hi, sorry for the delay in my response, but it's parallel to the delay in my sewing, too! My entire household has been upended in a massive remodel/addition project and I've gotten just about NO sewing done lately.
When I saw you were from Oxford, I thought, "Mississippi?"
Here is a link to my not-at-all-recently updated blog:
Scroll down to see the dresses I made last summer from a Decades of Style pattern. There are also some thumbnail photos of vintage men's shirts I've made on PatternReview.com. My favorite type of vintage looks are from the 1940s-1960s, often called a "swing" or "rockabilly" style, or else "mod."
I admire costume sewists a lot, the work and care they put into their creations is wonderful.
Hi there, still have got no time to take pictures of my toile du jouy fabric. its getting really expensive to buy. When its so expensive, feel really sorry to cut it. I have not made anything yet except one or two things for household and to sell. People who appreciate would buy it but otherwise they ask me why so expensive? Catch 22 I suppose. Love your work by the way:) You are right...exactly how I feel too. SO MUCH TO SEW BUT TOO LITTLE TIME!!!!
Hi Larisa! My fabric store is www.ajoyfulsoulfabrics.com. I know I am not supposed to advertise my site but since you asked, I hope this is okay! I am talking to the editor about possibly dong some advertising on this site. I love it! I have had so much fun reading the posts and watching the videos! I love your projects! Gorgeous! As soon as I have some time, I will post some pictures of some of my favorite projects on my page.
Hi Larisa, OH MY!!! The new pic in your profile, how perfect is that, just lovely... It amazes me that with all the sewing machines, books and supplies that you have, you can be soooo productive in a small area. I like your black cat,I had a black cat named Jolson, named after actor Al Jolson. He was wonderful and I miss him now that he's crossed over the rainbow bridge. The pic I added to your page is a pic I got off the internet so I don't know who the manufacturer is .I loved the decorative end plate and new you would too. The pic I inserted today is just some of my favs to collect, white glass,rhinstone... Hugs, Jeri
Hey Larisa! I really like the muff and matching capelet!! I miss playing dress up when I see your pics... Always looking forward to your show and tell :-) You and my other friends are inspiring me to get my machine cleaned, oiled and up and running.Sadly the original book is not too helpful that came with it :-/ I'm smart ,I hope I can figure it out ,just threading it and the bobbins seems a challenge OH MOMMA!!! 1st I gotta get my spare room set up and an inviting decor. One step at a time>>>> Good job, once again! Jeri
