Thanks for the comment on my quilt. I like that block because when they are put together you get that small 4 patch which makes it more interesting. I was viewing your photos. Your work is great but, it's your fabric choices that are spectacular!
I would like to know of a book that introduces you to quilting. I'm dyslexic and pictures are really an important part of my learning. It's hard sometimes for me to follow the directions because i can't picture what is being said. Also where are You located? I am also building on my sewing library. Today I just got a book the art of sewing. It's all in black and white...........just awful
Thanks for responding to me and thanks for the offer of support I truly appreciate that. I have a small table top blind hemmer, same as the baby lock table top and about seven years old . I want a better one can you please offer suggerstions and brands. What brand, model do you use?
I don't know HOW to give up!
I am streamlining my marketing efforts and also my projects.
Sewing isn't all I do and I am learning to channel my creative energies into those projects that are fun & profitable. I consider myself a "production seamstress/crafter". I LOVE creating from a customer's concept to actuality!
I DO have an etsy site but haven't benefitted from the experience yet.
I have paid fees but have made no sales.
I am just learning about a lot of this.
I am so grateful to have this site to interact with other sewers and crafters.
hello and thank you for beeing my friend dear Stormee , lovely spring morning in oxford i am running to work, will be back to your page later today to write comments and look at your work.
hugs larisa
hi there, i am new to the site. read about your scrap bag. when my mom makes quilts, she often uses the scraps to make pillow shams, throw pillows, or even smaller versions of a quilt for the couch, lap quilts, baby blankets. how about some cool purses? wall hangings? a fabric store i visit has quilting classes. on monday nites they have scrap nite for free. people get together and make scrap quilts. that would be another place to perhaps swap or exchange scrap pieces. just some ideas... pansyface
I was motivated by your comments and your excellent sewing projects. I'm just about to start my own sewing business and desperately need some info regarding pricing your work. Any suggestions for alterations and dressmaking ? Thanks...MaryAnne
