ooh! Paper Dolls! Do you have any photos to share? I don't know that I could even begin to make a paper doll. I'd like to see the process though. Happy Clipping!

Wow! How are the paper dolls coming? I have a hard time concentrating on really intricate things like that. Maybe it's because I dont' have a good pair of scissors, but mostly I think it's that I'm not patient enough to sit there and do it :)

I know that the braided ones do take a lot of preparation too but with the crocheted ones there is NO sewing and NO coming apart. Good talking with you. Where do you live? I am in Ont.

The rugs that I have done are all done with the largest crochet hook that you can find. They are usually white and plastic ones .The rugs are ripped cotton and polyestor bedsheets and then strips sewn together . It takes a lot of sheets so if you want to make one you need to get friends to give you their used ones if you can...

Oh, that baby was probably loving all the attention. Well we are states apart too. I'm in Missouri and they're in California. I was lucky enough to be there and in the delivery room while he was born. That was quite an experience. I get to see him every about few months and we talk on the phone quite a bit. He is almost 2 now and my daughter says he walks around with his fake cell phone talking to Mimi (me) and telling me all about Disneyland. He is so sweet.
Thanks again.

Hi Gifted Grandma - I love your bears! It must be very noisy when all the kids and grandkids are together! I have 5 grandchildren & when they are all here it is so much fun! I've just taken up smocking & am hoping to have a nightie done for the youngest granddaughter for Xmas. Thank you for adding me as a friend!

GiftedGrandma,
The picture is of my 4 month old grandbaby boy (our first grandchild). I think he is beautiful too, of course. Thanks for the kind words.

Hello GiftedGrandma, I am also a grandma. I love your bears. I, like my Mom, haven't really had the desire to make quilts, but I love to see the quilts that others have made. Glad to have you as a friend. Elizabeth S.

What darling projects! So sad to hear about a bad back...that is never fun when you want to be sewing. Thank goodness for a laptop to inspire new ideas! Kathleen, your new friend!
