Hi Jeanne, the craft show was fun but not very profitable. The shoppers were half or less than last years. But we had fun and I did sell some fairies and I have some left for Christmas gifts. I might even post some on Etsy.com. I also have some requests for fairies of a non-Christmas nature. So, it wasn't a total loss. How is your little furry friend doing? My husband used to drive a school bus and always told the kids to be sure and jug their dogs and give them lots of love. Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? We had a house full....kids, grandkids, great granddaughter, and grandkid's friends and my Daughter-in-law's Mom. If I don't get the chance to say it again....have a great holiday season. I know I will be busy and I'm sure you will be too.
Thank you, you are too kind. I know we will have fun at the craft show and if the fairies don't sell, they will become Christmas presents. Give you little doggie a pet for me. She is lucky to have you to take care of her. So sad about her first owner.
Hi Jeanne, how are your projects coming along? I haven't been on this website for a while. My daughter and I are getting ready for a craft show in mid-November and I have been making all kinds of Christmas fairies. Do you have any new dolls? Hope you are well and enjoying the sewing.
I would really love to take one of Patti Culea's classes. She was teaching in Kentucky just about a week ago. Even though it isn't as far away from me a California, I was still unable to go then. I may sigh up for one of her on line classes. After all the golfing trips that my husband took, the "trip" fund was looking kind of anemic. LOL But am going to keep my eye open for more classes. I agree, we could have a lot of fun "playing" if we lived closer to each other.
Glad to have you as a friend. How long have you been making dolls? I retired from a career as a cake decorater two years ago and have been making dolls since. I have done a lot of sewing over the years and I have really gotten into the dolls lately.
I have never seen doll making classes promoted in my area. I would really enjoy taking some classes. As you said, we can always learn new things, designs, methods. The only tutorials I have had were on some of the craft shows on TV. And, of course, reading the directions with the patterns I have. Thank you so much for your compliment on my dolls.
