A sewing enthusiast since childhood, I sew slipcovers and home decor items under the name "Little Bug Studio". I teach beginning and intermediate sewing techniques to private students; and, slipcover fabrication to sewing professionals.
Hi Peg. I can't seem to find how to ask a question to anyone. I'm making a top using fairly sheer material. I'm thinking of adding a lining and am wondering if I still need to add the neck and armhole facings if I do? Thank you.
HiPeg, So glad I found your web site. I'm a slow in getting started with things, but I will soon start. I appreciate your help, I probably might need it. Thank you so much,...Alice
Hi Peg, I seen at one time someone making slipcovers with a hand held sewing machine. It been several years. But I found the handy stitch sewing on Amazon. I researchd Singer and a couple of other hand held Machines and decided that it was not a good buy or could be able to make the slipcovers. The Rex brand is suppose to sew over layers of fabric but it looked too flimzy. I'll have to wait till I get a real sewing machine for I gave mine to my sister, she lives in Maine. Anyway Thank you, Alice
Thank you Peg, I will look up Amazon to try and find it. Iam hoping I can find one. I want to make slipcovers for a sofa and love seat. Thank You, Alice
