Thank you all for your lovely comments! I just found that my little afternoon video/dress project had been posted here. What a great way to start off my day, reading the nice things you've said. For those who have question regarding 'cutting patterns from memory'. I've just been sewing so long, and know the pattern size for my body shape, that it's fairly easy for me to just create a pattern from memory. :-) Until next time, Happy sewing!

I would have liked to see more sewing techniques. I love the dress and will probably use the idea to sew strips onto another fabric to make something unique.

I really like the idea of creating a new fabric by sewing on the other fabric. I think it will motivate me to be more creative that way.

I am impressed! What a neat idea to make your own fabric. It gives that simple dress a bit of wow.
