This is a wonderful finish for unlined jackets. Yes, each seam allowance is covered and pressed. It could also be used in a housecoat or other type of leisure wear. It is a classy way of finishing seams. Why anyone would complain is beyond me.
I am not sure why everyone is accused of 'complaining,' because I thought the whole purpose of the comment section was to appraise the video according to what we perceived. I assumed the person who made the video would read the comments and learn from them. I am almost afraid to ever voice my opinion on this site now if I am going to be accused of complaining just because I do not understand something. It isn't a case of how old your eyes are (I am 66, incidently), however, some are beginning sewers and some of us must be just stupid (me).
Lori I do believe that the comments made below were a result of comments that had to be deleted and probably not referring to any questions or comments you made about this video.
I have been sewing since I was 7 yrs. old (now 56) and I too found the video confusing. To Lori - KEEP ON COMMENTING! These kind of web sites are for education, exposure to new ideas, and sometimes venting. I am a nurse and also particpate in a web site (restricted to medical professionals only) which is ALL ABOUT being able to VENT among our peers. I don't think commenting on the video's ability to communicate the intended information is wrong. Certainly helpful to us who ALSO found the video confusing and were wondering- "Is it just me, or does this make any sense to anybody else." The follow up comments were very helpful in understanding the technique. Had there been no follow up - I still wouldn't be able to use this finishing technique. The only stupid people are the ones who don't ask questions. Good for you, and thanks! LF
