Cute idea, and I am already seeing more of this style for summer in "T" shirt knits.
The store versions have a 'shoulder seam' that is a slightly diagonal seam line from the sleeve top to the 'neckline' (lay the finished sweater flat on a table, then smooth a "T" shirt on top to use those shoulder seams as a guide) Shoulder seams will help to keep this style from falling off when you wear it...
