The channel foot (also know as a "welt" foot) shown was purchased from the local shop where I bought my Janome home sewing machine. I'm fortunate that the technician owns this shop and knew where to get such a foot.

They can be found on line if you "google" the right term: "welt foot". Here's one source I found in response to your comment. I believe the one I have is the 1/4 low shank #40986x6. The price is reasonable, too. http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/search.aspx?find=welt+foot

All my machines are fairly new and they don't have this type of zipper foot. I would just about kill for one like this. They are much more exact then the ones they give you with the newer models.
