Besides the expensive narrow little sheets of Dritz tracing paper that you can buy at your local fabric store for about $4 (5 individual 3" X 19" sheets in separate colors), check out your local art supply store for what they call "transfer paper".  I found it contains no wax or grease, washes out of fabric, and erases like pencil.  It also comes in 5 colors (graphite, white, blue, yellow, and red) but each color is packaged in a box like waxed paper.  The roll of "transfer paper" is 12 " wide by 12 FEET long.  The box will run you around $10 -- unless you luck out with a store coupon for 40% off like I did.  If you work exclusively with dark colored fabric, you only need light colored transfer paper - like the white or the yellow -- for most of your projects.  If you work exclusively with very light colored fabric, you probably only need the graphite.  Invest in the roll you'll find the most use for; buy ONE pack of the multi-color sheets for the odd occasion when you need the other colors.  Your bases should be covered for YEARS!   By the way, I think the video's recommendation to reinforce the back side of the transfer/tracing paper with packing tape (or anything else that will stick to the tissue and beef up its longevity) is a SUPER idea!

This is GREAT!  Thank you.  Any chance you will do a bodice pattern?  Or have you done that already?  I have only just found you.  If you have done a bodice, I would love to know how to find it.  If not, I hope it will be coming.  I  have struggled with getting a good fit both above and below.  Your calculations make so much sense. And so much can be done with the basic pattern once it is drawn.
