This is something a lot of military wives do since old curtains do not usually fit in new place when you transfer. Plus, it's a very economical way for your kids to have their favorite character themed room.  I know I saved l hundreds over the last 3 moves we made before 'we' retired from active duty. I found one floral print in the 80's that I liked so much that I made a dress out of one sheet. It was so cool and comfortable. Laundered well and didn't wrinkle  much at all. They are great to use for a new top for a faded or worn quilted bed spread, too.
