Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

Rarely does my Stash not have all the fabric needed for a room make-over.

However, the son recently requested a new bedroom set for his NYC apartment and the only Stash fabric he "approved" was a blue-grey silk dupioni for the curtains.  And he wanted to keep his royal blue comforter.

The search for coordinating fabric was not fun...fabric stores had was WAAAAYYYY too expensive.

I came across Raymond Waites shower curtains and tablecloths at an off-price store!  Coordinated perfectly!  The extra width allowed the pillows to have wide knife edges!

The tablecloth is the print, the shower curtain had those wonderful scrolls.  The blue-grey dupioni is the bolster shape, and the royal blue golf shirt represents his comforter (we live 2,000 miles away).
