The cami and slip in the top row of these photos I made from very plain commercially made lingerie that I then added trims to.  It's alot of fun to play with an existing lingerie item and go from there: change out the straps for pretty ribbons, add lace bits and other nice things to them.  The best part?  You don't have to worry about the fit!

Kwik Sew put out a paperback book (roughly 9" X 11" pages) some years ago on making lingerie that was excellent.  It had a large folded up sheet of paper with patterns printed (so you could trace off the size you needed -- for you, for your teenager, and for your women's sized grandmother) for most things you'd ever want to sew.  The instructions in the book were excellent too -- giving you LOTS of options for how to modify the "basic" to fit your particular style or need.  It would be a far better resource for those of you who are new to lingerie sewing than any video dealing with just one garment.

The link for the dark blue or navy bloomers are in the project description when you click on the photo, but as far as I know there are no videos on how to make them.
