Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

This was a large mens tee. I cut it straight up the center front, cut off the neck ribbing, and cut off the hem on each sleeve I made about a 1" casing by folding over the raw edge of the front and neck, all the way from the bottom of the tee, up one side of the front, around the neck, and down the other side of the front. I used my serger to lightly "lettuce" edge the sleeves. I threaded a piece of green ribbon up through the casing, all the way around and came out the other end of the casing. (Another pic shows this).
