bow pattern

I am making/designing my daughters wedding dress, and we think we want a big yellow bow tied in the back with the ends of the bow getting wider at the bottom and going all the way to the hem. Any suggestions? Should I double the fabric, or use a handkerchief hem? I am going to make a "dummy" one first, just to see how much fabric I need to buy. I always make a muslin first so that all the fitting is done before i cut into the expensive fabric. Any suggestions would be very helpful. CarlaL

I noticed that you had posted a question on the chat line asking for ideas that you could do with you 11 year old daughter. My idea is to make a simple apron. There are many styles out there. You could even do matching other/daughter aprons. Good Luck and have fun!
