It's all in the color!! Once again Moda fabric by Sandy Gervais have come through with a beautiful line of fabric. I created this quilt with one charm pack and one jelly roll...plus a little yardage for the borders. Right now my hubby is upset because I took it to work to hang in my office!…

I've been working on minis for an empty wall in the office/ den. This is "Tree 'O Life" by Piece of Cake Designs. One of my previous quilts used orange and purple and I got alot of comments on how people liked that unlikely combo of colors. As I've been surfing thru the internet lately I've been noticing quite alot of Windmill quilts being created. I suddenly had a light bulb moment and realized: "I have one of those!"
I made this scrappy windmill about 8 years ago and I titled it "Persistence". Each block is 4" and there are a total of 400 blocks set 20 x 20. I did have some help from my freinds who donated 6" squares so I could keep it as scrappy as possible. I keep…

Thanks for your help with the embroidery blocks. I am using a square ruler with non-slip surface. However, it seems that when place over the embroidery, it wabbles a bit and that seems cause me to cut wrong at times. Maybe firmer pressure is needed.
And I just have to add...ALL of your quilts are absolutely beautiful! The patterns and projects are great, but I really love the way you put the colors together!
