Hi Gran, How are you and your husband? I'd love to hear from you when you have time!

Not much going on here, same as always. We do have a new grandbaby on the way! He's due around October 1st. I can't wait!

Hate to be so short, but I have lots to do today. Please let me know how things are!

Good morning Gran. I am sorry to hear that your husband had a brain hemorrhage. I will keep y'all in my prayers. Please keep me updated on how he is doing. will he be doing rehab in Huntsville, or elsewhere?

Yes I'm still in HG. Guess I'll be here until my last day, lol. I'd rather be out in the middle of nowhere, as I'm a country girl, but I won't complain much. Our house (100 yrs old) is paid for, and I'm not living on the street. Hg used to be "in the country" years ago, before everyone decided to start building.

Maybe you can find a little time to do some sewing, it will probably be a good stress reducer for you while your husband is in rehab. Please be sure and take care of yourself also!

Talk to you later.

Hi Gran,

How have you been? Busy, busy here. I now have 3 GKs ages, 4, 4, and 2. I keep them while their parents are at work. Also, one day a week I have to go sit with my Mom, who has Alzheimers. Haven't had much time for sewing lately, just hemming things, repairs, and made the GD's a few blankets for their baby dolls.

I hope you have been well! I can't wait for warmer weather to arrive. I am not a winter person! I love being outdoors.

Time to get started on my laundry, which is a never ending thing around here! TTYL.

Hi Gran, nice to meet you! Sorry it took so long to reply back. I'm basically a beginner. Simple things like skirts, pillows, etc. Growing up, my Mom and Granny sewed a lot. Mom always made me and my sisters clothes, and for awhile had a few clients that she would sew for. One lady had a whole wardrobe made! Granny used her Singer treadle machine, up until she died. she could take a piece of newspaper and make her own patterns. Mom still has all her sewing supplies, including her very heavy table top Good Housekeeping(not sure if that's the right name) sewing machine, that I will probably inherit when she passes on. Granny also made wonderful quilts, nothing fancy, just to keep you warm.

What level sewing are you? Do you sew a lot? I try to sew something at least once a week. I home school my 2 remaining kids (we have 7)that are still at home, so that takes up a lot of my time. We also have 2 grand daughter, ages soon to be 1 yr.old Elizabeth, and 6 month old Brianna.

Hope to hear form you again! Have a great weekend!
