Hello there! I've been designing clothes for about 20 years, and now love designing fabric. I'm currently working on a clothing line using my fabrics. This is so much fun! You never know what's going to turn up with the coloring in the fabrics. If you would like to see more, please check out my website-reishais.net-

I recently was given a Berina Bernette model 234 serger w/ out the manual. I printed one off the internet, but am still having a very difficult time threading it (lower loop - don't know if its the first or second). I wish I could be more descriptive, but I've never used a serger before, and unfortunately don't know anyone that has/uses one to instruct me. I've gone to local sewing/craft stores and they've been most unhelpful, since the machine wasn't purchased at their stores they're unwilling…

I’ve worked pretty hard
And I’m finally done
The battle with code
I eventually won
Now for my troubles
I have a brand new site
A playground of sorts
For anything I write
And though I still have
Very much updating to do
I couldn’t resist
Sharing what I have done with you!

The latest post
More pics than most
Of my little
Swollen toes
Hope…

I am sad to say that I have not sewn since April of 2008.
Last year was a bad year for me and I switched my momentum to scrapbooking. With what was going on, preserving memories seemed the best route for me. Now i have two 'bad' habits to deal with :).
On a lighter note, I have started another BOM put on by my local quilt store. This one features blues and greens and I cannot wait to get this first block done. Its inspired me to look back on the projects I have to try to…

Thank you for the welcome. I am a crafter with my own shop/studio trying to get my small business established. I think I picked a bad year to start! If anyone has any ideas for marketing folk-art paintings and hand made pocketbooks, please advise.
Thank you,
Jane

Needlework is one of the most cost effective and fun hobbies a person can have. The person creating the needlework focuses on a pastime that is both creative and relaxing at the same time. When the work is completed there is a beautiful creation that can be worn or used in the home as a decorative item. As time requires everyone to live a busy and chaotic lifestyle this type of hobby is becoming more and more scarce. If you have the time and patience you can…

It's a treat sewing with
fleece -- the edges don't unravel, so there's no need to finish seams.
Fleece is kind of stretchy, plus …

I am in the process of developing a mini-camp program for Beginner and Basic Sewing classes for children and teens with our local Recreation Dept Leisure Services during the summer. It will be divided into two separate groups, ages 7 - 11 in one and 12 & up in another. I know I will need to keep it simple especially for the younger group. We have talked about a few different ideas of what to make but I was wondering if any one here has any suggestions or other ideas? We can make some of the…
