Hi & mastering blogs!

Hello. I just awhile ago found this site while trying to refresh my memory on inserting invisible zippers! (what a pain!). I was happy to find video instructions that were helpful.

Let me add that this is the first blog I have EVER posted! I am an old-fashioned girl, although I use the internet some, and utilize email, but I have been very wary of "putting myself out there". I am a very socialable person in person, but just wary of the internet. I have never met a seamstress that was ever… Continue

My legs hurt

Both of them

Stupid legs

I want control

Over that part of the brain

That controls

The bits that I don't

It's my brain

Damn it

I should be able to tell it what to do

I'm glad I re-enrolled

To study, study, study

Cause at least I can do that

With my legs up

I refuse to let my lack of creating

Hinder my blog

About creating

Cause it keeps me busy

So I stepped back in time

To show an… Continue

cleaning up

cleaned up the sewing room today (well everything except for the fabric - but the rest is all organized) this is after the blitz of getting the evening gown done last month, still sweeping up bits of organza underlining all over the house. The current question is what to do now? I have no real wardrobe needs but lots of patterns and fabric to work with. hmmmmm....
could actually tackle the UFO pile or mending...

and this i confess to you

Things feel exciting
I'm heading back to the books
Gonna get learning
A lot from the looks
And then I will unravel
Your very thoughts indeed
Won't that be interesting?
It will be to me!
Will have to get used to studying again….it's been a few years
In the meantime
I'm still creating
Visit Rellacafa
If you would like a prettier look
At what I've got cooking….

a new miss potter

My blossoming Ada
Is drying on the stand
Yet she glares for
Me to give her a hand
She needs to learn
Not to be
A rushy fuss pot
I have had other things
To occupy my hands
To keep me from insanity
To leave me feeling grand
Switching between
The sewing and the painting
Is a lovely way
To while away the days
Until my legs work properly again....

back to the drawing board

You may not know

But it is freezing in Melbourne

And I do not

Have central heating

So, you may not know

That it is freezing in my flat!

But now that you do

You are truly informed

Don’t you feel better?

I’ve been listening again

To an imaginaiad’s call

It happens to be one

I have heard before

Ada is her name

And she was the second

But she needed a makeover

(That’s what she reckoned)

If you would like… Continue

Your Quilting Business: Sell Niche Products

Some people love crafting and are drawn toward quilting, but don't feel like they have enough talent to sell the quilts they make. They sometimes don't feel comfortable basing their quilting business around sharing their quilting knowledge. If you are one of those people, there is still a place for you in the quilting market! All quilters need accessories. Your quilting business could be selling those accessories or niche products geared specifically toward quilters. There are common… Continue
