Family Update

Dh's sister in KY went to be with the Lord. She loved to quilt and have done this for many years. She helped me out a lot. She really was having a hard time. Within 3 months she had a stroke and no feeling in one side of her body and 2 weeks ago she had a massive heart attack...I wasn's able to visit because I had surgery on my ankle. I had a ligament reconstructed. Hope that makes sense...I had to slow down on my sewing and decided to do some knitting to help occupy my time. I'll update more… Continue

Quilters Pig Out

Hi everyone. Todays was our quilters pig out and we had bunches of goodies to eat. We all worked on any quilt we're trying to finish. I worked on my Christmas quilt. I've been working on this quilt at home and after today I have 9 blocks finished. Hurrah!!!! I saw so many beautiful quilts while being there for six hours. Someone was working on two quilts for two children that had pictures of their father that is now overseas.

One of the quilters made everyone a small pin cushion. Another… Continue

A little more about me

Hi everyone. I just started two new quilts. I love stars and with left over Thimbleberry fabric I'm making one with different color stars. So far I have 8 eight inch squares completed. I'll show a pic of it later. I'm not sure how I want to join the squares yet.

I also started a Christmas Quilt. I like working on a couple at the same time. Once in awhile it seems like nothing goes right while working on one of them so I change over to the other one. I'm pretty sure this happens to a… Continue
