Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

My name is Jeanne and I live in Nw Florida. I've been quilting now for about 4 years and I'm also a beginner knitter. This is my first post. I'm interesting to see what everyone else has to share.

Hi, Jeanne. It is now October. Here in Minnesota we are getting geared up for the cool weather of fall. I have been sewing since I was in the seventh grade, that would be about 39 years. I started quilting in 1996. Boy, has that time gone by fast. I love color...texture ...everything about fabric. I am currenting designing some quilts that I want to reflect my heritage. I will post them when I get them made, but I am along way from a finished product. I also am a beginning knitter. My grandmother showed me how to knit a zillion years ago but I never did anything with it. I prefered crocheting, although all the fabulous sweater patterns are for knitting. So I decided that I wanted to reintroduce knitting into my creative world. My first project is a simple purse that is intended to be felted. I am almost done knitting it, then I can felt it. I am excited to get it done. Check out my page in about a week. As soon as I have the purse done I will post a photo. Take care..Nice chating with you.

Hi,
I'm Alexia and I have been sewing all my life. I have just started learning to quilt. I am just back from a mandatory hurricane evacuation and in the process of unpacking my sewing equipment and eager to get started sewing again. I would love to chat if anyone else is online.
