Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I got a surprising response about my therapy Raggedies, some wanting to make their own for donating, so I thought it would be a neat idea to start a blog dedicated to therapy dolls. If you're familiar with the Toy Society, it would be similar to that only you aren't dropping dolls off randomly of course!

I called the blog Project Hope Society and welcome anyone interested in this cause to join in! You would send an e-mail to projecthopesociety@gmail.com, with all the info you care to add about the doll/dolls you made, including photos and the story of how you got your dolls to their new owners. You could submit pattern links as well for the side bar which would be helpful to people who need a pattern.

Visit the Project Hope Society here, follow & submit your dolls & stories! Perhaps it will catch on and we can give more & more toward finding a cure & care for families affected by cancer!

How wonderful to see what's up now. The "forehead-less" monkey and I couldn't be happier for you. I'm progressing well (with a few set backs) but haven't forgotten my promise to tell my story. But your/my monkey (Birdie O) has been a source of hope and encouragement. I've held on to her thru the rough times and knew all would be well. Keep sewing and believing, Christie Staton

Birdie this is a wonderful idea. I am going to check with the hospitals here or maybe even one of the homes here for battered women and children
