Sew, What's New?

Curating sewing and quilting talent, techniques, and tutorials, since 1997.

I am a scrapbooker that is slowly incorporating a lot of sewing projects into my week's now. I needed to come up with a sewing table but not loose my scrapbook table I use when my friends come over. So Hubby came up with a table top made from 3/4" thick solid white plastic sheet measured 30 x 60 that I can place over my white folding table and place it in the spare bedroom on the bed when I need it for any scrapping I do with my friends. He also drew the measurements of a ruler on one long side and one short side of the table. IT IS PERFECT.

So I decided I needed to add more items to the table while I sew and do all my sewing projects. I needed to come up with a way to hold my magazines while I work on patterns in the magazine so I came up with the Magazine/Book holder below. I was also sure to add a whiteboard that you use with a dry eraser so that I can write all my notes and mesurements while working on a project. The free measurements and instructions for the holder can be found at my blog.

Hubby had the plastic topping for years just stored away just in case he needed it for something LOL. It is 3/4 inch solid plastic material just like a cutting board. It is layed on top of a folding table. The top measures 30 x 60. THANK YOU!!!

This is a nice space. May I ask the dimensions of your table? and where did you purchase it? I would love to have a table like this.
