Using a beautiful mix of ombre cottons designed Vanessa Christensen for Moda, she put this Dutchmen quilt together and shared every step along the way within this free quilting tutorial. Vanessa used ombre dyed fabric for this quilt, however you could just as easily use different shades of solid fabrics. If you love ombre fabric as much as I do, scroll down to the bottom where I have posted some online fabric shops to purchase it. You can achieve the same overall fade-in and fade-out look for this quilt using either fabric design. Vanessa also offers some good quilting tips along the way with respect to seams and stitching locations to make it easier to quilt.
