Sew, What's New?

Vintage Threads demonstrates how she embellishes her sewing projects using eyelets.

You can buy eyelets (also known as grommets) at most sewing retailers in a

variety of sizes and metals, as well as colors.

Most of the time the retailer also offers the tool needed to set the eyelets as well, it's fairly inexpensive.

You do need a hammer along with the tool.

Vintage Threads' step-by-step photo tutorial is sure to inspire you!  Get the tute!

Very professional looking.  Kudos to you (and your husband).  I really liked the grommet idea for the purse.  I make purses also and had not thought to use the grommets as decorative; only functional.  Good job!

Thanks - it looks so simple but I still have problems every time I try to do eyelets...
